Witch Decor
When decorating for Halloween it is fun to have a theme. You could go with skulls, witches or goblins,
The article Haunted House Makeover: Witch Edition provides you a map for turning a room in your home into a hobble fit for a wicked witch.
Think cauldrons, spell books and black cats as you dream of a spooky room guaranteed to give all that pass through your doors shivers down their spines.

DIY Creepy Topiary
When it come to the holidays whether it be Halloween or Valentine's day I always want to dress up my home decor. I like crafting so I will usually make something to spice up the decor. Last Halloween I made a Black Ribbon RIP Topiary that glittered next to the rest of my Halloween decor. You can find full directions by clicking the above link.
The project took 4 spools or ribbon to complete and I burnt my fingers once or twice on the glue gun. I glued the ribbon onto the foam ball instead of using pins. I recommend using pins because it is much faster and easier. I didn't have any on hand at the time and I'm always to excited to start a project and begin before I have all my ducks in a row, so to speak.
Other items I used to complete this project include: a box, black card stalk, a mini head stone, 2 foam balls, black jewels and sparkly black ribbon. I added a black raven to the top of the finished topiary but that part is entirely optional.

Become Merida this Halloween
- the wild curly red hair
- a quiver, a bow, and arrows
- a simple long sleeved dress green or blue dress with a belt.
I do not believe Merida ever wears a crown but Disney does produce a crown in their officially licensed Merida clothing. One of the popular costume designs is actually of the blue dress that Merida is forced to wear by her Mother when Merida judges the archery competition. Madeline Hatter Costume - Daughter of the Mad Hatter
Ever After High has only been around a couple of years so officially licensed costumes are limited to a couple of core characters. Officially you can only get Raven Queen and Apple White costumes for kids. These are currently only available at Justice. The Ever After High dolls were originally only available at Justice as well, but now you can find them at any of your local department stores. I'm hoping that costumes will be more readily available this year for those wanting to dress up like their favorite fairy teen.
Madeline Hatter is one of my favorite characters for the show. The daughter of the Mad Hatter enjoys her tea time and speaks Riddlish. She is one of the characters without an official Ever After High costume. For those looking for ideas to create their own costume you can check out the article The Madeline Hatter Costume Experience.
For those of you wanting to focus on the the Wonderland marvels make up you can find helpful suggestions and a tutorial from KittiesMama on youtube. I love all of her Monster High character tutorials she has done. This one is awesome as well.
